We must fold away the painful past and leave accountability to the judiciary
We must work as one team in building a strong Syria that guarantees human rights, free of injustice and persecution for individuals and for groups, in which all citizens and components are respected and equal. We also need to build a patriotic generation and to criminalise hate speech, in order to build a stable state for our children so that they may live in safety and peace
Vision for Syria
Building the state of law, of justice and of equality among all citizens and components; lifting the injustice, returning rights to their holders and compensating them justly; and abolishing the exceptional projects and laws applied previously. Achieving progress in every field and in the infrastructure, such that Syria becomes effective in the international community, and applying the international covenants and charters concerning human rights that Syria has ratified.
Experience
Law office; defender of human rights; political participation; defender of political detainees and of activists of opinion, voluntarily, before the courts of Damascus, Aleppo and Al-Hasakah; former detainee because of my participation in the peaceful Syrian revolution; the organisation and delivery of dozens of courses, lectures and seminars on legal and political matters, especially transitional justice and the constitution
Priority issues
1- Transitional justice 2- Carrying out a genuine and comprehensive national reconciliation. 3- Forming a committee from all the components to prepare an inclusive national constitution that guarantees the rights of all the components without discrimination.
