Syria is passing through a delicate stage that demands a high degree of shared responsibility and collective awareness
Commitment to these values constitutes a foundation for a more stable and safer future for all Syrians without exception, and she sets out in her work from a legal and professional approach that sides with human dignity and seeks to strengthen justice and the rule of law as the foundation of social stability
Vision for Syria
A state founded on clear legal and institutional foundations, through laying down an effective track for transitional justice, uncovering the fate of the missing, and entrenching the rule of law and the protection of human rights as essential pillars of social stability. Syria's future requires strengthening the role of the constitutional and legislative institutions, and reforming the legal system in a manner that guarantees the independence of the judiciary, safeguards public rights and freedoms, and restores trust between the state and society, leading to a state of citizenship founded on accountability and on respect for human dignity. Overcoming the effects of the past years is not achieved by slogans nor by swift solutions, but by entrenching values that respect human dignity, safeguard rights and freedoms, and lay the foundation for the rule of law in a way that prevents the painful experiences from being repeated. Preserving civil peace is a collective responsibility, just as justice is a legal track aimed at fairness, accountability and redress, in a way that strengthens trust among the members of society.
