A country founded on the unity of the land and the people, and on respect for national, religious and cultural diversity, in a manner that guarantees the rights of all the components without exception. We are today in a pivotal stage that demands a high degree of national responsibility, and serious work to rebuild the Syrian state on the foundations of justice, the rule of law and equal citizenship. The coming stage calls for a genuine political reform, the revival of the institutions of the state, support for the national economy, the preparation of conditions for the return of the displaced, and the building of a safe environment that preserves the dignity of the Syrian citizen and opens the door to development and stability. Syria is not built except by the arms of all its people, and in a spirit of coexistence and mutual respect. Building the state and entrenching its institutions is the right road to guaranteeing rights and protecting them. We must place the interest of the homeland above every consideration, and work together for a future worthy of the sacrifices of Syrians — a future in which justice prevails, and in which every citizen feels themselves a real partner in this homeland. I am one of the sons of the Turkmen component, and I affirm my commitment to defending the rights of all Syrians, to working to strengthen national participation, to entrenching the values of dialogue, and to affirming that diversity in Syria is a source of richness and of strength.
