A state of institutions, not a state of individuals
Vision for Syria
Turning Syria's victory into a legislative and developmental renaissance that rebuilds the state on the foundations of justice, competence and the rule of law. I hold a balanced vision for building the person and the institution together, with competence and national commitment. "Syria today passes through a delicate and pivotal stage of its history, one that demands the highest degrees of national responsibility, the entrenchment of the logic of the state, and a serious transition from the stage of revolution to the stage of institutional building. The victory achieved by the grace of God and then by the sacrifices of the proud Syrian people is completed only by establishing the state of law and institutions — a state in which the constitution is the supreme reference, justice is the basis of governance, and equal citizenship is a rule from which no one is excepted. We affirm our commitment to work from within the People's Assembly on: • Developing a modern legislative system that answers the aspirations of Syrians. • Strengthening the independence of the judiciary and reforming the justice service. • Protecting public funds and combating corruption with effective legal and oversight instruments. • Supporting a productive economy based on industry and small and medium enterprises. • Advancing education and adopting electronic administration and sound governance. The unity of Syria and its national sovereignty are a red line, and its social and cultural diversity is a national wealth that must be protected within the framework of the one state.
